The Northeastern Area State and Private Forestry (NA S&PF) and the Northeastern Area Association of State Foresters are committed to supporting the priorities described in State Forest Action Plan in the most efficient and cost-effective way. The Fiscal Year 2012 Competitive Allocation Request for Proposals process provides an opportunity to integrate programs when allocating funds to partners and improved operational efficiencies. The RFP will focus Federal investments on priority issues, challenges, opportunities, and threats of national, regional, and State importance. State Forest Action Plans will be used to identify project priorities and meaningful outcomes.
Proposals are due the the Forest Service on December 15, 2011. If you are interested in working with the Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation on a proposal, please review the information below. A pre-propsal process will be used to select and refine proposals submitted from Vermont. Pre-propsals are due November 7, 2011. All proposals need to be submitted through Vermont's State Forester, Steve Sinclair.
