Coolidge State Forest, West
Plymsbury Wildlife Management Area
Tiny Pond Wildlife Management Area

Coolidge West Management Unit is an assemblage of three separate state-owned parcels--nine blocks of Coolidge State Forest, Plymsbury Wildlife Management Area (WMA), and Tiny Pond Wildlife Management Area (WMA).
These ownerships are located in the towns of Killington, Mendon, Ludlow, Mount Holly, Plymouth, and Shrewsbury and total approximately 18,500 acres. This tract occupies the east and west slopes, as well as the summit, of the main Green Mountain range from just north of Okemo almost to Pico Peak.
The Coolidge West lands are most noted for their mountains and unbroken forests. The entire parcel is located within the Southern Green Mountain biophysical region. Soil characteristics support productive timber growth capacity on at least 90% of the area outside of wetlands and below alpine conditions. Numerous recreational activites take place in this management unit including hunting, fishing, hiking, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling, the most significant of which is downhill skiing at the Killington Ski Resort.
