West Haven, VT
The Agency of Natural Resources is currently developing a Long-Range Management Plan for The Narrows Wildlife Management Area in the Town of West Haven, Vermont. The 429 acre tract of land was conveyed to the State of Vermont by the Vermont Land Trust in 1997.
The Narrows WMA has significant number of acres of wetlands, over 5,000 feet of Lake Champlain shoreline, about 350 acres of upland hardwood forest and about 15 acres of old fields that serve as habitat for numerous birds and mammals. This wildlife management area is open to a number of activities including hunting, fishing, wildlife viewing, hiking and trapping.
