Niquette Bay State Park

The Agency of Natural Resources is currently developing a Long-Range Management Plan for Niquette Bay State Park in Colchester, Vermont.  The State of Vermont began acquiring land in Malletts Bay in 1975 in order to alleviate overcrowding at Sand Bar State Park.  The Department of Forests, Parks & Recreaation has since found that because of the unique attributes of the area low impact , educationally oriented use of the 554 acre park is more appropriate.  Trails have been developed on the property and there are plans for a Nature/Interpretive Center.
