Vermont State Parks are an outstanding resource for anyone interested
in enjoying our natural resources by camping, picnicking, hiking, biking,
boating, swimming, fishing, hunting, wildlife watching, etc. Our vision
is to provide high quality outdoor recreation opportunities to Vermonters
and their guests.
The State Parks Division mission is to conserve and interpret on behalf
of the people of Vermont their natural, cultural, historic and scenic
heritage, and while so doing, to provide recreational opportunities
and economic benefit. The emphasis in this dual role should be provided
only within the ability of the natural and cultural resources to support
the activity.
The Division works hard to provide highly trained and qualified personnel
to effectively accomplish their duties and responsibilities including,
but not limited to, high quality customer service, well maintained facilities,
quality programs and services, and a dedication to meeting the needs
of the visitors.
Division staffing consists of 36 full-time employees and about 250
seasonal employees to manage, operate and maintain
the 52 state parks spread throughout Vermont.
