Hannah Earl is Vermont's 2010 Arbor Day Poster contest winner
The National Arbor Day Foundation sponsors an Arbor Day poster contest for all fifth graders in the country. Each year, approximately 70,000 fifth grade classes participate. The purpose is to help instill an appreciation of the value of trees in our lives and express it through art.
The 2010 theme is:
Trees Are Terrific…and Energy Wise!
Each state can only send one poster to the National Arbor Day Foundation to compete in the national contest. In Vermont, the state poster is selected from District finalists you see here.
We need your help in selecting
the state winner. Keep in mind that the theme is Trees
Are Terrific…and Energy Wise and the poster
should show the importance of trees in a community. The poster
with the most votes will be selected as Vermont’s 2010
Arbor Day poster contest winner and will go on to the national
competition.
