What is a Listserv?

An e-mail list serve can be thought of as a collection of people's names and email addresses who want to receive e-mail around a topic of common interest with other subscribers. The theme of this list is urban and community forestry in Vermont. The list can be used either for discussion around urban and community forestry issues, ideas,  or questions, between volunteer groups, tree boards, tree wardens and other community members or for UCF related announcements and upcoming events.  The goal of this list serve is to connect Vermonters interested in community trees with UCF program announcements, grant opportunities and a discussion forum.

Here's how to subscribe to the list serve:

• Send email to listserv@list.uvm.edu
• Place a subscribe command in the body of the message

Subscribe Command:

(sub vtcommunitytrees your_name_here**)

Replace "your_name_here" with your first and last name

For Example:
sub vtcommunitytrees Mary Smith

• You will receive a confirmation message from LISTSERV, just follow the instructions in the message.
