This directory is published to help identify the wood-using businesses in
Vermont that depend directly on the state's forest resources. The
information on these pages is intended show Vermonts' sawmill
capabilities and their resource needs. While the information is targeted
primarily to the forest products industry, it is our hope that policy and
decision makers will find the information useful.
Also included is information relating to the scope and performance of the
sawmill and veneer mill industry in Vermont. This information applies to
calendar year 1999. Those interested in additional economic information
